Payroll time clocks come in a number of different styles. Some are more automated than others. Some time clocks can log the information into a computer and others simply stamp the time onto a timecard. These days electronic time clocks can record the infomation directly into accounting packages can save a company lots of time and money. You can also get time clock software that simply runs on a computer without a physical clock.
